Informal Braver Angels Clubs:
Would you like to do more in-person activities with Braver Angels?
Our two in-person alliances, Chicagoland and East-Central Illinois, are doing great things, but we would like to expand the ability for more BA members to get together in person, especially in areas where travel to the alliance meetings is difficult.
As such, we are trying to facilitate informal clubs and gatherings for members across the state. This could be as simple as a couple of people meeting for coffee and having a conversation.
Then, if your group grows and you’d like to go through the process of becoming an alliance (where you can host official Braver Angels events and workshops), the state leadership can help with that.
We will facilitate these groups by putting people in somewhat close proximity in touch with each other and allowing them to coordinate amongst themselves. We will be happy to do a bit of brainstorming with you and answer questions along the way.. But in general, you will have the freedom to organize gatherings that work for those involved. Geography will depend on interest.
If you already have some people in mind that are not yet Braver Angels members, but may be interested in some of these informal gatherings, you may invite them as well.
IMPORTANT: Please remember the principles of Braver Angels during these gatherings. In addition, these groups will not be official Braver Angels entities. Therefore, there should not be any public statements, advertisements, or media stories implying official affiliation with the Braver Angels organization.
If you are interested in participating in these informal meetups, and are OK with your email address being shared with other interested Braver Angels in your area, please fill out this Google form and we will do our best to put you in touch with one another.
