Building a House United
Launched in 2016, Braver Angels is a national citizens' movement to bring liberals, conservatives and others together at the grassroots level - not to find centrist compromise, but to find one another as citizens.
Braver Angels seeks to depolarize American politics. Our work is rooted in grassroots organizing. From the grassroots however, our volunteer leaders (supported by a small staff) leverage Braver Angels programs and unique organizing structure to impact community life and American institutions.
Citizens across Illinois are joining this movement to depolarize our politics. Chicagoland and Downstate; Urban and Rural; Liberals and Conservatives; Red and Blue; we are coming together in respect and civility, because we all want what is best for our country and our state.
